CONTEST NOW CLOSED! STAY TUNED FOR UPCOMING CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT!

Share a CAEPIPE Quote or Story

Share with us a brief quote about your experience with CAEPIPE or a memorable project you worked on, a recent accomplishment, or any story related to piping design or stress analysis using CAEPIPE and you will automatically be entered to win a DELL Streak Android Tablet.

All CAEPIPE users (licensed and free versions) are welcome to participate.

Examples

We use CAEPIPE to design the process coils in our steam cracking furnaces. These coils operate at temperatures between 1,200°F & 2,000°F. Supports must be sized properly to prevent coil distortion and rapid failure. CAEPIPE graphic displays are extremely useful in determining if we have input the geometry correctly and in evaluation of results.

[CAEPIPE] is a very practical and efficient engineering tool, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your help and technical support... Analysis is fast and consistent. I enjoy using CAEPIPE."

The ability to model quickly and perform quick iterations saves the client money and allows for a more readily optimized solution that everyone involved is more pleased with, in the long run.

If you wish to submit a longer description of a project or CAEPIPE story, here's how it works

Please read the following 3 steps to understand what is required for your submission.

Step 1 - Download and open the Submission Template

Click here to DOWNLOAD your Microsoft Word 1997 - 2003 compatible Submission Template document.

Step 2 - Fill in the Submission Template

Red text on the Submission Template indicates areas requiring your input. Fill in your contact information at the top of the template using reliable contact information that you check at least once a day).

Next, type or paste your story text and any images in the area at the bottom of the template. Don't worry too much about placing or cropping your images perfectly. As long as they are clear, we will be able to make any adjustments ourselves if and when we publish your story.

Step 3 - Save your Word doc, and email your submission as an attachment

EXAMPLES

Here is an excerpt from a CAEPIPE user who shared his story with us recently:

"Here at the cryogenics department of the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider vacuum jacketed piping system is used to supply liquid helium cryogen (-452°F) to superconducting magnets and experiments. To transport cryogen over piping systems, vacuum insulated piping is used. The jacket pipe will see full vacuum (10-6 Torr) once evacuated and cold... The jacket pipe is an integral part of the piping system, since it contains piping guides for the internal process pipes, anchors from the jacket pipe to the internal process pipes, sometimes bellows, and will have the external pipe supports. The internal process line will typically contain flexible lines and vacuum jacketed valves. Thus both the internal process pipe and jacket are modeled in CAEPIPE."
